Accessible motoring from Dunnets Ford

The Motability Scheme with Dunnets is a worry-free and affordable way of motoring. By offering new Ford cars on extremely favourable contract hire terms, both FORD and Dunnets help people with mobility issues to live their lives to the fullest.

You will be entitled to a new car every three years if you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance, the Armed Forces Independence Payment, the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement or the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP). You will also need a minimum of 12 months remaining on the award to be eligible.

Who can drive your car

Named drivers are people you choose to drive your Motability car. Up to three named drivers are included as part of your lease; these can be yourself, friends, family or carers. Drivers under 25 are restricted to cars with an ABI Insurance Group 16 or lower and with a power output of 120 brake horse power (BHP) or less (this does not apply to Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles)  If your child receives the allowance you can choose to lease a car on their behalf.

Eligibility

Whether you choose to drive or nominate a carer or family member, and you receive any of the following allowances with at least 12 months remaining you could qualify.
